Franklin Tartaglione - Fine Decorative Painting -Trompe-l'oeil - Franklin Tartaglione has worked with many of the world's most renowned interior designers. In the early 1980's he was first assistant at the side of the late Robert Jackson, then the premier decorative artist in the country; he formed his own firm in 1986. Clients have included The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, where in addition to his decorative work in the American Wing’s period rooms, his fine art is represented in the museum's permanent drawing collection. Other notable clients include The White House, Blair House, the Diplomatic Reception Rooms at The State Department in Washington D.C., Merchant / Ivory Productions, and several projects for The Royal Family of The Netherlands. In addition, it has been Franklin’s great pleasure to make artistic contributions to hundreds of the country's most distinguished private residences.

This suite of rustic grisaille landscapes in combination with trompe-l’oeil bleached pine raised paneling was painted for a small sitting room designed by Franklin Tartaglione for a house in the Hudson Valley. The cornice, paneling and pilasters are embellished with gold decorative elements and finished with a faux marble base.
